Babies and Barre is specially designed to help you rebuild your strength and fitness postpartum, and perhaps you’ll make a new Mama friend too.
Using both the barre (aka. your stroller handle) and mini bands, these classes will include a variety of exercises to challenge your current fitness level. Expect your whole body to be worked and enjoy the post workout delight you get from the famous barre burn!
We will interact with our precious little babies as often as possible – unless of course they are sleeping (let’s hope)- and of course at any point in class you are welcome to feed, cuddle and caress your little one!
Whilst the class is designed to tone your entire body from head to toe, emphasis will be placed on feeling strong and being in control of your body!
Whether you arrive after a manic morning or a sleepless night, I guarantee that after babies and barre you will leave feeling refreshed, energized and proud of your efforts!
Join us for an energising in-person class at Lonsdale Quays in North Vancouver. These 45-minute sessions are designed to tone your body while allowing you to bond with your little one. Perfect for all fitness levels, with options to use your stroller as a barre!
Not a local to North Vancouver? No problem. Enjoy the flexibility of our 45-minute virtual classes from the comfort of your home. With just a mini band and light dumbbells, you can join us live via Zoom for a workout that challenges and energises you, no matter where you are.
Class is open to infants of all ages - but I require you to have approval from your doctor/midwife to exercise. Our youngest baby has been 3 weeks and our oldest is almost 18 months.
100%. All exercises will have modifications and progressions making them suitable for Mama's at all fitness levels. Let Sofie know if you have any questions or concerns relative to pelvic floor or core recovery before class begins.
Whilst Babies and Barre does not advertise a refund policy, we are understanding of Motherhood. If something unforeseen comes up, please get in touch and we can discuss.
Yourselves, a yoga mat, your baby in their stroller and a baby carrier in case they get uncomfortable in their stroller.
Being a Mum myself, I completely understand how we have lots going on. I hope this class can be a place where you get your time to work out whilst enjoying being with your little one, and if you’re joining us in person, a place where you can meet other new Mums!
For the in-person classes – feel free to hang around the Quays and have a coffee/chat with the other Mums.
Also remember that fussy days happen (for all of us). Don’t fret if you are running late, or if you or your baby needs to take a break from class to nurse, get changed or re-group. We get it!
